When you work by referral in the real estate business as I do, you need to always be ready to go the extra mile to help them to find just the right home to fit their needs. This is done by researching neighborhoods to make sure that it is a safe place to raise their children; performing a comparable home analysis, and other research tools in order to negotiate the best price for the buyer; or intervening in a dispute on the buyer's behalf after the sale in order to make sure that all obligations of the seller are fulfilled. On the seller side it means picking up a paint brush sometimes to help my client to get their home ready to market; getting up on a ladder to replace a light bulb; buying a fogger and a specialized disinfectant to get rid of cigarette smells in the home; or testifying for the seller in order to get a reduction on their property taxes to make their home more attractive. All of these are actual examples of things that I have done for my clients, and I do them to demonstrate my commitment to them that I will be there for them whenever they need me for real estate advice, questions, or as a trusted friend before, during and after settlement.I work very hard to be the REALTOR® that my clients recommend at parties, and social gatherings when the subject of real estate comes up.
